Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia. Kathmandu is the capital and largest city of the state.

Most of the country is located on Himalayas but also shares some parts of Indo-Gangetic plain. It borders with Tibet in North and with India in east, south and the west. Nepal has eight of world's ten tallest mountains, including Mount Everest, highest peak on the earth. Nepal is known for its military history especially the contribution of its Gurkhas in world wars.

It has a population of more than 30 million people.
