Mauryan Empire was an Antient Indian Empire that ruled India from 327 - 184 BCE. It established by Chandragupta Maurya in 327 BC following a Coup against the Nanda Empire and ended in 184 BCE when Pushyamitra Shunga overthrew Brihadratha Maurya to establish the Shunga Empire. Under its 3rd ruler Ashoka, The Mauryan Empire controlled the entire Indian Subcontinent stretching from modern-day Afghanistan to the 3 Tamil Kingdoms in South.
