Bal Gangadhar Tilak

Bal Gangadhar Tilak was an Indian freedom fighter. His slogan was "Independence (home-rule) is our brightright and I will have it."

Born on 23 July, 1856, he was concerned about the treatment of Indians by British colonizers since his childhood. Throughout his life, he was not only known for his patriotism but also for his expertise in Sanskrit, astrology, history and mathematics.

He died on 23rd July, 1920 after catching a fever two days ago.
